About James Windsor-Clive

James Windsor-Clive was selected to be the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Ealing Central and Acton in April 2024. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of his great-great-uncle Hubert Duggan who won the seat from Labour in 1931.

James was born in West London and has lived there for the last 15 years, meeting his wife along the way. He started his career as a management consultant at Deloitte, where he helped global banks streamline their businesses. While working there James qualified as a management accountant. He then moved into the startup world, becoming Head of Operations at a business that focussed on providing virtual reality therapy for stroke and dementia patients. It was an issue close to his heart as his grandmother had suffered with severe dementia. During Covid, James tried to start his own business, an ‘Airbnb for swimming pools and tennis courts, which rented private pools and tennis courts out by the hour. He now works as a researcher in parliament writing speeches, running campaigns, and researching policy.

In 2016, James was diagnosed with a rare eye genetic condition called Stargardt’s Disease. While he can still drive, it is difficult to recognise faces in public settings. It is a deteriorating condition so he will eventually be considered legally blind.
